Welcome! I am so glad you are considering learning more to best help your clients who are a part of the adoption constellation! Data tells us that every therapist is working with a member of the adoption constellation, whether they know it or not. However, many members of the adoption constellation feel therapists "don't get it" and feel frustrated that they have to educate the professionals who are supposed to help them. Rather than sharing their disappointment, many simply leave multiple counselors.
While I love teaching live courses with discussions among the various participants, I am excited to offer this online learning opportunity for you to participate on demand and on your own schedule. To be sure that your questions are answered and we can discuss the nuances of working with the adoption constellation, an individual consultation appointment is included as a part of this course. Once you have completed the course, contact me to schedule your individual consultation.
This Brainspotting Specialty Training is for Brainspotting therapists who have completed Phase 1. (Phase 2 is strongly recommended.)
This online Brainspotting training includes:
- an introduction to adoption competency,
- working with all members of the adoption triad & those impacted by foster care,
- working with children, adults, & families,
- special populations within the adoption population,
- racism in adoption & foster care, including guest appearance by Ruth Unaegbu, RCC,
- multiple handouts and resources,
- Multidimensional frame setting for Brainspotting with Adoption,
- and the all new Constellation set-ups for using Brainspotting with Adoption.

Testimonials
“I thought I was adoption educated, but just an hour with Brooke opened my eyes to how much more there is to know, and helped me better attune to my clients.“
– Deborah Antinori, LPS, Therapist / Brainspotting Trainer
"I have had the privilege of knowing Brooke for several years now, and there aren't enough words to describe her genuine care and concerns for those who have experienced trauma, specifically adoption and relinquishment trauma. Her expertise in the field of Brainspotting, as well as trauma, has helped countless individuals. She is a trainer, speaker, an adoption competent therapist, and so much more. She's also a wonderful author and has spent yeras gaining knowledge and education regarding the adoption experience to assist her clients to understand the multilayered dynamics to the adoption experience. I highly recommend Brooke, and I can't wait for more people to learn the healing practices of Brainspotting."
- Pamela Karanova, Founder of ADOPTEES CONNECT, INC. / Adult Adoptee
"Brooke Randolph lends a superb perspective to those residing in the realm of adoption. She is one of the most "woke adoptive parents" around, as evidenced by her book; It's Not About You. She has demonstrated an incredible passion for helping families and training therapists to do the complex work of adoption therapy. And she's adapted Brainspotting to specifically work with this population and it's being recognized as an imperative tool for the adoption-competent therapist.
Thank you Brooke for all you do!"
- Leslie Pate Mackinnon, LCSW, Therapist / Advocate / Birth Mother
"If you plan to work with persons involved in adoption in any way, this training clearly outlines the fundamentals and will help you identify areas where you may require further study, and you didn't even know it! This is a great starting point for newbies and a wonderful depth-enhancer for those with more experience in the field."
- Kris Boksman, PH.D, C.PSYCH, Brainspotting Therapist
"People should take this Brainspotting Specialty Training because it provides such valuable information. Usually, when you go into trainings, you learn mostly about the modality, the history of the modality and how to do it, etc. - the focus is on the modality. This training allowed for thorough information about the topic of adoption, the history, the people involved with adoption, and how to care for all the people involved in the best, most compassionate, and empathetic way. It was such a solid and well rounded training."
- Ruth Unaegbu, MA RCC, Brainspotting Therapist / Foster Parent
"Brooke is someone who has real and actual training in helping those impacted by adoption, along with a genuine willingness to learn. Whether you are an adoptive parent who needs insight into raising your adoptee, an adoptee, or a first mom ... you'll be sure to be in empathetic, caring, knowledgeable (and non-judgmental!) hands with Brooke."
- Laura Dennis, Author / Editor / Adult Adoptee
"...one of my ‘go to’ professionals on issues related to advocacy, family support, organizational development and outreach. I found Brooke to be a consummate professional with (I cannot state this with enough emphasis) the highest of ethics. Both in collaborative and individual settings, I relied on Brooke to provide an advocates perspective while incorporating the needs of children and families. Amongst the hundreds of professionals with which I have worked, I found that to be a rare combination. From Joint Council’s perspective Brooke’s marketing abilities have been greatly appreciated. She remained proactively diligent in monitoring our activities and promoting them through her personal and professional networks. Brooke continues to be a valued colleague and I look forward to continuing to call upon her as part of the Joint Council community."
- Tom Difilipo, President & CEO, Joint Council on International Children's Services / Adoptive Parent
'We have hired Brooke Randolph to speak to live audiences twice, and multiple times for webinars we have presented. She’s the real deal. Her expertise on trauma, healthy attachments, and brain spotting is top-notch in every way. Plus, she is warm and engaging with audiences. I highly recommend her services'
